You will find the answers to common questions below. Our MOST important job as a breeder, even if we are NOT the breeder for you (and thats okay!) is to educate those looking to add a puppy into their family.
what age do your puppies go home?
Per California state law our puppies leave no earlier then 8 weeks of age. The socialization and lessons that can only be taught by litter mates is an extremely important part of development. Generally between 8-9 weeks old.
Do you offer a health guarantee and what does a guarantee really mean?
We offer a three year health guarantee. Ask to view a copy!
Do you require a spay/Neuter contact?
Contrary to most breeder policies- While we do not require you to sign a spay contact, our puppies are NOT to be bred. We also ask that you wait until at least 18 months of age before altering your dog. There are considerable health benefits to waiting. If you choose to alter before this age our health guarantee will be VOID if you breed your dog this will also Void the guarantee . (Link to study below)
What is limited akc registration?
Akc limited registeration has all the benefits of full registration with the exception of NO breeding or show rights, you dog may still compete in all other AKC events. Our puppies are NOT to be bred anytime for any reason.
sHOULD i CRATE TRAIN MY PUPPY?
Yes, absolutely! We strongly recommend crate training for all dogs and puppies. It is much safer for your home and puppy. It encourages good house training habits, encourages impulse control in stressful situations and reduces stress during veterinary hospital stays or unexpected emergency situations requiring confinement of your puppy or older dog. Crate training is not cruel or mean when used and introduced properly. We find that a 36" wire crate with a divider is usually the perfect size from puppy to adult, therefore a 36" or 42" with divider is recommended for new puppy owners.
Young puppies should not be forced into strenuous physical activities (jogging, biking etc.) until after 18 months of age to protect their joints from serious physical harm. Use caution if you’re unsure. Consult a canine professional if your dog is showing signs of fatigue or lameness during or following exercise.
Will my puppy examined by a vet, vaccinated and wormed?
YES! Every one of our puppies are seen by an amazing and thorough licensed Veterinarian prior to going home. Each puppy will receive its first puppy 5-way vaccination, be preventively wormed.
Will my puppy be micro chipped?
Yes all puppies are chipped, you will then be provided information to register the chip with your information.
Do you allow visitors?
Visitors are welcome when we do not have a litter on the ground or after puppies have been vaccinated against illnesses that can unknowingly be brought in.
